How to Avoid Articles Being Rejected:

The incorrect use of links in an article can cause your article to be rejected.
As a rule of thumb:

• No more than 4 links in an article – 2 self serving and 2 non-self serving.

• Too many links look spammy.

• Non self-serving links should be AFTER the 3rd paragraph.

• Self serving links should go in the Resource Box.

The title of an article is most important – it should be SEO, Precise without being flat and boring.

For example: Stress Management: 5 behaviours to discover – Good Title.
Brilliant Title: Stress Management: 5 Great Habits For You To Learn.

If,  in your article your title says 5 Great Habits…… then make sure 5 points are in the body of your text. Bullet points and headings are ideal for this. The 5 points will be easily definable and the reader will not have to trawl through thousands of words trying to find them.

If you try putting titles in that are full of keywords with spelling mistakes i.e. wieght loss – then these articles could be hard rejected which means you article will be deleted. Make sure you check the whole article for spelling and grammar mistakes. This will all be taken into account getting your article published, especially on Ezine.com some of the other sites are slightly more lenient.

These are all tips that I have learnt and hope they will be useful.

I have been flying around my computer this morning like a headless chicken – ‘working’ for 3 hours and achieving nothing! I couldn’t work out why I wasn’t getting on as usual. Then I realised for some reason (must have been a senior moment) I had not done my daily Plan!
Doh!!!

I have done this every day since Module 1 and you don’t realise how important this is until you forget! As Alex said this is a key point and makes you focus – well my focus went right out the window this morning.

Oh well I am off now to do some shopping – nothing like some retail therapy to clear the mind and re-energise. When I return I will get to work with renewed enthusiasm!

How has my journey been going since 6th July (it seems a lifetime ago that I started this but it is just one month ago today); it seems impossible that in only 4 short weeks I have achieved so much when I knew nothing about Internet Marketing.

For those students that are still struggling with Blogs and PPPs I hope the following will help.

The most important thing I have learnt is ‘FOCUS’ something I didn’t have when I started.

When you first start out and you listen to the first two modules it’s an OMG moment – I can’t do this – why would I believe I could master all this – YOU CAN.

Take it one step at a time, don’t try to do it all at once and the main thing is don’t think I can’t do this and butterfly off and do something else – FOCUS.

Start with your 90 plan
Your 4 weeks plan
Then your week plan
Then your next day plan.

Write down your next day plan – when you have ticked the items off – this becomes your ‘did it’ list. You’ll be surprised that if you take these steps how it all comes together.

Visit the formum – ASK for help – the students on the Forum are brilliant, I wouldn’t have got as far as I have got without them.

If you are behind with listening to the modules – don’t panic – if you read my first posts you will see I had some major delays. Take it at your own time, it’s not a race. Sure there are going to be students that are way ahead of you, there are many of them that are miles ahead of me, but this is my business and I have to build it at my speed or it will all go wrong if I try and hurry it.

I have now got everything set up but I will be honest and say I still don’t have any traffic, so I will go to the forum and ask what I need to do to rectify this and I know someone will give me some helpful pointers and tips.

As I haven’t yet managed to finish listening to module 4 I may be telling you something you already know. I don’t know how many of you are involved with article submission to increase traffic – but recently I was given a link to a brilliant product – don’t worry I’m not trying to sell you anything!!!! This product can be used as an affiliate link, but this is just free information.

I hate writing articles, and you have to be so careful if you use PLR articles as you can get banned from the article sites for plagerism if you don’t re-write the PLR articles well. But if you are strapped for cash (as I am as I’m a poor pensioner …….aaaaahhh!!!), and can’t afford to outsource this work, then this is a really good product. At last, I now have my blog up and running including a sign up for my newsletter. (funky template)!  Eventually managed to get my RSS feeds sorted, thanks to Paula (again), and my Google Analytics are sorted for both my blog and PPP.  Everything is now prepared waiting, all I need now is traffic.!!!!

Have you ever had the feeling that someone is out there conspiring against you!!!!  Not only did I have a major computer crash, where a gremlin took up residence while I was away on holiday, which  caused me to be off line for 48 hours and was only fixed when my daughter, bless her, came over and spent Sunday sorting it out – but on Wednesday afternoon I had been happily working away at trying to set up my PPP and decided that it was time for a break – so I made a phone call.  Half way through the phone call the line went dead – I immediately went to the computer and yes you’ve guessed it the internet was dead as well.   The work I had been doing I could no longer get to as I had been watching Alex J’s videos.  To cut a long and frustrating story short, I had a fault on my telephone line and BT (don’t you just love ‘em), told me it could take 2-3 days to sort out.  Fortunately it didn’t take that long and at 5.30pm today I was back on line.  Of course, I had managed to lose hours and hours of working time.  As I said ever felt someone is conspiring against you!!!!!!

I will now get back to what I was doing Wednesday afternoon, and hope that nothing else goes ‘belly up’.
